Our sugar bush is about 11 acres, which is small by Vermont standards. However, because of our small size we are able to do everything ourselves, from tapping to boiling, canning to designing and printing labels. We like to think, being small helps to maintain our high quality and taste standards.

I never would have become interested in honey bees, if my father hadn't gotten his first hive. My father's interest, coupled with the fact I developed allergies after college, spurred my own passion for pollinators and local honey. My husband has no interest in bees, other than to watch from afar as I dance for my bees. Some people consider beekeeping as cruelty, I try to treat my bees with the upmost care and ensure they have ample honey reserves before harvesting.

Currently we grow strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, and blackberries. Our berries are all organically grown, while we are working on expanding to become a pick your own berry farm, right now or berries are picked by us and either sold direct to consumer, processed into jams or frozen. We hope to be able to utilize our berries for infused syrups and specialty meads in the future.
